He Took a Wife…

We have a new reason to celebrate in this family.

My brother took a wife.

When we first met her, back when they first started dating, we were so happy for him and hoped with all our hearts that he would marry her. What makes her special? Well not only is she beautiful on the outside, but she is also very friendly, kind, and humble. Usually those things don't go together! What I am most excited about is the children they plan on conceiving. They are already talking about having 3, 4, maybe 5 kids. I would love to see that.

My little brother as a father? Pretty sweet stuff.

Anyway, here are some pictures I took of the happy couple on the day they took their vows.

Snowy Julian in March

You know what I love about living in Southern California? The beach and the mountains are an hour of driving away from each other. This weekend it was cold and rainy at the beach. We stayed indoors and cuddled a lot, but then I had a fabulous idea. If its this cold here, then maybe, just maybe there is snow over in the mountains. So we checked the weather, saw I was right, and headed over to Julian.

Its been a while since either of us had been to the snow, so the trip was much appreciated. We must have said to each other 100 times that we really need to “do stuff like this more often”. That’s one thing I really think we need to work on. Being more spontaneous. There’s so much fun to be had if you’re willing to leave the cave!

It was soooo cold! Word to the wise: Yoga pants are not snow attire. Unless you wear 4 pairs at once.

Heidi was very happy to go inside and warm up by the furnace in Julian’s famous candy store.

We had such a great time. I really hope that wasn’t the last snow of the season cause we are dying to go back!
